About the Brewer Family

Our family has lived in the Shelton Valley for four generations. In 1966, we moved to our current ranch and have raised our four children here. Bob grew up on a farm just down the road. We milked Jersey Cows and operated a grade A dairy here for twenty years and increased our herd of Black Angus beef cows.

Bob worked many dedicated years for another tree grower. He learned the tree business and in 1980 planted the first field of trees on our home farm.

Gail passed on her love & knowledge of horses to her children & grandchildren. Their family is recognized for a number of fine AQHA pleasure performance horses that came from their breeding program. Most of these were sold & are still being shown successfully on the AQHA show circuit. Several horses were kept & are being enjoyed by the Brewer families.

We have several plantation fields located in Mason and Lewis counties, with Noble Fir being our primary seller.

We began raising buffalo in 2004 with cows from the Montana State Buffalo Reserve. We keep miniature horses, alpacas, llamas and pygmy goats -- all added attractions for our U-Cut visitors!

We are proud to be a fourth generation 4-H family! We support and promote this wonderful organization that is such an important part of rural America family lives. We exhibited at the Mason County Fair when we were in 4-H and continued in the open classes for many years. We believe our county fair is necessary and everything possible must be done to preserve its future.

The Mason County Rodeo is yet another association that we are proud to be a part of. This has proven to be a great family attraction and an exciting addition our fair. We enjoy watching our granddaughters ride in the rodeo. Kailyn has been a rodeo princess for the past three years and her younger sister, Bailey carries a flag in the ceremonies.
